A quick search through the Flickr Creative Commons site for the tag "70s" brought me back to my childhood: plaid pants, shag carpet, shaggy hair, Pintos, Galaxies, Mustangs, hula hoops and Viewmasters. Those were the days!

Join in the fun as World Compass runs a marathon viewing of the 1970s PBS series, An American Family on April 24, starting at noon. American Family is often called the original reality television show. Now you can watch hours and hours of life in the 70s via the Loud family and relive--or see firsthand--lots of the crazy things we did.

We would love to see your photos too! Upload your family pics or those awesome fashion statements (!) to your Flickr account. Here are instructions to help you out:

How to add your 70s photos to the World Channel Flickr slideshow

1. Select the photo you want to contribute to the World Compass Flickr slideshow. The more 70s fashion, architecture, gizmos and kitch, the better!

2. Upload to your Flickr account! 

3. Tag your photo "70s"

4. Be sure your photo privacy setting is visible to everyone!
