Like so many Americans, says State of the Re:Union host, Al Letson, "my journey throughout life has been tied to the skin I'm in."

In this inaugural video blog for worldcompass.org, Al offers a story from his childhood and reflects on the need for frank discussions of our individual experiences around race. "Once we see those experiences," he adds, "maybe it's time to let them go a little bit."
