Any idiot can get a tattoo. However, when it comes to the person with his or her hand on the rheostat, we'll take the guy who wrote the book on tattooing.
From the charming and funny web-shorts series, NY on the Clock, comes this profile of John Reardon, a Williamsburg tattoo artist and author of The Complete Idiot's Guide to Getting a Tattoo.
On getting paid for his draaaaawrings:
"I just like to make pictures, whether it's on skin or paper. Usually I get paid faster when it's on skin."
On his unfinished masterpieces:
"I have so many unfinished pieces walking around out there, it's not even funny. But, I mean, whatever. You know, I'm here. People know where I'm at."
