Taking a leap of faith and leaving their cities, families, careers, friends and personal goals behind, nine women believed in love and in their own hearts enough to reinvent their lives along the Amalfi Coast of Italy. Digital video and super8 weave together while the women's voices carry the film, telling their stories of meeting lovers, the choices involved in moving to Italy, the expected and unexpected compromises, and the search for a comfortable balance. As the fantasy veneer of Mediterranean village life wears thin, and beauty recedes to inaccessibility, their own desires and senses of self are called into question, becoming mysterious even to themselves.
